Alpha Course

Alpha helps create a space for honest conversation around some of life’s biggest questions. Through a series of interactive sessions over the course of 11 weeks, you will have the opportunity to explore the basics of Christian faith in a safe and caring environment.

What to expect

Connect When you arrive, you will have time to meet others. Each session will start with a time to connect and build friendships over a meal. The goal is to create an awkward-free space to enable you to share your thoughts, ideas, and opinions.

Listen After you eat, there will be a short video session that will explore the week's big question about life and faith. Examples include: "Who is Jesus?" and "Why do we pray?" These engaging videos are designed to spark lively discussion.

Interact At the conclusion of each video, ample time is given to express your thoughts. Still feeling a little shy? Don't worry, your host will help guide the group through the discussion. No questions are off-limits. We welcome you to ask us anything.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so you can know exactly what to expect at our Sunday service.

Where and When

We currently meet in a home for our Sunday service at 4:00 p.m. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to find a seat and get settled. You’ll be greeted at the door by someone from our Welcome Team.

There is parking available on-site.

Our Service

There is no dress code here, so please just come as you are. Our service begins at 4:00 p.m. with a warm welcome followed by a time of worship. We typically have 3 or 4 songs. During this time, you may hear members pray out loud or read a small passage from the Bible. Sometimes people might share something that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might be a new experience for you, but it’s a natural part of how we connect with God together.

After a brief look at church news, one of our leaders shares a practical, biblically-based message. At the end of the service, there is an opportunity to receive prayer if you would like.

What about my kids?

We love having the whole church family worshipping God together! Children stay with their parents at the start of the service (welcome, songs, and announcements). We'll then announce when it's time for the younger members to head to their groups:

Nursery (0-3 years) A fun space for toddlers. (Infants <6 months are welcome to use the space, but must be accompanied by a parent.)
Pebbles (3-11 years) A mix of Bible stories, music, crafts, and games.
Youth (11-18 years) Our teens stay in the main service for the sermon. (Click here for more details about our youth group.)

Safety & Registration: You will need to go with your children to register them as part of our child safety policy. While you're dropping them off, we'll take a short "chat break" to give you a chance to come back before the sermon begins. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Stay for food: On the first Sunday of every month, please join us for a free community meal after the service. As our guest, we'd love to serve you and get to know you better!

Getting Connected

Sundays are great, but our Small Groups are where you can really build friendships and find support. We would love to put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

We also invite you to join our Alpha course -- a relaxed space to explore the big questions of life and faith.
