Rick Harvey

Meet Pastor Rick & Alicia

We’re so excited to introduce Pastor Rick and his wife, Alicia, who recently moved to Northwest Indiana to plant our church!

Rick is a passionate, Spirit-filled leader with a heart for making disciples and seeing people grow in their walk with Jesus. He has spent years investing in youth and young adults, helping them discover purpose and live out their faith boldly.

Alicia shares that same heart for people—she’s known for her warmth, hospitality, and genuine love for building community. Together, they bring a beautiful mix of faith, fun, and family to everything they do.

When they’re not serving in the church or connecting with others, you’ll probably find them watching a sporting event, spending time outdoors, or hanging out with their dog.

We can’t wait to see all that God is going to do through them here in NWI!

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know beforehand, what to expect at a Sunday service.

Where and When

We currently meet in a home for our Sunday service starting at 4:00 p.m.  For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to give you time to park and find a seat before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We typically share a meal together after the service.  This is a great way to meet people and make connections.  There is no cost.  As our guest, we are happy to serve you.  We hope that you will join us!

Our Service

Our service begins at 4:00 pm with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of worship, led by our worship team. We typically have 2 or 3 songs. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the Bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is Bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song. Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

What about my kids?

We have a great program lined up for kids of all ages:

  • Nursery (0 months to 3 years). Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/grown-up at all times.
  • Pebbles (3-11 years)
  • Youth (11-18 years) stay in service

Children stay with their parents or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs, and announcements. We really value worshiping God all together as a family. At some point, the younger members will be dismissed to go to their class. You will need to go with your children to register them as part of our child safety policy. While you are dropping your kids off, we will pause to take time to chat to someone sitting nearby, giving you a chance to come back before the sermon begins.

The kids group activities may vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, Bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, fun games, and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.
